We are so honoured to have Parkdale Community Food Bank as our neighbours across the street from the store. Since 2007, it's been their mission to provide nutritious barrier free food, with choice, dignity and respect for all. They provide food to anyone who seeks assistance from their program and believe that access to high quality, healthy food is a human right.

Beyond the provision of food, the Parkdale Community Food Bank makes it its mission to be a place of dignity, safety, respite and repose, where participants are made to feel that they are respected members of a community of mutual support. They share their gifts, and the resources available to them, based on their need, and according to their abilities in a non-judgemental manner. Seeing how this grass roots organization, founded by volunteers, that receives no direct funding from any level of government, supports this community and shows up with grace, is such an inspiration and a true teacher of how to be a good neighbour.
