The Greater Moncton SPCA (GMSPCA) is Atlantic Canada’s largest animal shelter. Helping thousands of animals every year, their mission is “to promote animal care and prevent animal cruelty through sheltering, placement, and education”. Started in 1955 by a small group of concerned citizens, this registered charitable organization has been working tirelessly on behalf of the animals in Southeastern New Brunswick ever since.

As a managed intake shelter, the GMSPCA will take in any animals that are homeless, lost, abandoned or abused, providing them with the necessary veterinarian services, food, shelter, love and attention, all while they work to find them a forever home. They offer community programs like their "Second Chance Food Bank" that provides food support to pet owners who are facing financial hardships (started as a result of covid-19 impacts), a "Barn Buddies" program that helps spay/neuter and rehome feral or otherwise unadoptable cats, and their "Healthy Moms, Happy Litters" program that helps ensure families keep their pets, babies are responsibly adopted, and the moms are spayed to prevent future litters of puppies, kittens or rabbits. The GMSPCA continually works to identify changing community needs and is committed to ongoing program development to ensure their work meets the needs of animals, and their owners, in the region.

The Greater Moncton SPCA strives to provide a high quality of life for the animals in their care, provide a safe, comfortable haven for animals in need, and to rehabilitate and relocate as many abandoned, homeless and lost animals as possible.

Global Pet Foods NB is devoted to the holistic health of pets. We love animals and believe that every pet deserves a second chance at a loving home and a furmily to call their own.

Unfortunately, there are thousands of neglected, abused, ill and unwanted pets who are surrendered or abandoned in New Brunswick every year.

The SPCAs in our province work tirelessly to help these poor animals, through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. They also speak out for those who can't speak for themselves, with a strong voice and action against animal cruelty.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, shelters like the SPCA have been struggling to meet the funding requirements they need to continue the amazing work they do. Major annual fundraising events have been cancelled, eliminating critical sources of financial support.

At Global Pet Foods NB, we support local animal rescues and shelters with regular donations of food and supplies, as well as an annual fundraising campaign. Even so, it isn't enough to help all of the rescues, shelters and animals in our communities.

Since we started selling Nutram in our stores, we have heard plenty of wonderful feedback from our customers and Pet Care Specialists.
