$1 for Every Nutram Bag Supports: Wild West Animal League
Wild West Animal League works with rural, remote and Indigenous communities in BC to run a provincial food and supply bank where they move donated items from Southern BC to communities who can use them for community programs, cat colonies, and underserved communities. Some of these communities are located 12 hours away from a pet store, and many people do not have access to vehicles, nor money for veterinarian costs or hotel fees.
They also facilitate spay/neuter clinics in these communities, provide owner support, first aid, transfer of unwanted animals to rescue, and provide dog bite prevention education.
Their partners include Spirit's Mission, and Neuterhead. They have also transferred animals to Victoria Humane Society, HugABull, and other Southern BC rescues in the past, but lately they have been working almost exclusively with the Williams Lake SPCA, as they are able to meet Wild West Animal League in certain rural community locations to take animals, which makes the logistics much less challenging.
They are also a member of the Animal Welfare Advisory Network, run by Paws for Hope, and have provided food to organizations like Pacific Animal Foundation, Invermere Companion Animal Network, NARA in Terrace, Prince George Humane Society, and many others!
We have chosen to to support Wild West Animal League, as there are not enough resources available to educate the public in our area. Animal rescue is close to our hearts, and we are proud to be able to help those in need.
