ARF has been rescuing and rehoming stray and abandoned dogs and cats in rural and remote communities with limited resources since 1995. Once rescued ARF provides these animals any medical care required, spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations prior to adoption, along with providing programs to reduce pet over-population in those communities.

Since inception, ARF has rescued and rehomed more than 5300 dogs and 2700 cats and worked with countless members in many different communities throughout the province by providing shelter for outdoor pets, food, spay/neuter programs and education on animal husbandry. Through the PURR project, ARF places adoptable kittens in partnered extended care facilities to provide enrichment for the kittens and dementia patients alike. ARF also has a youth education program to promote dog/cat welfare and ethical pet ownership.

We have chosen to support this charity because one of our staff is close with some of the volunteers at ARF. We love to support our staff and their passions, especially when it means we can help rescues and save dogs and cats. Global Pet Foods Cambrian takes pride in supporting its community especially the local rescues throughout many charity events and campaigns.  ARF shares the same values, by showing endless appreciation to their volunteers, supporters, and partners.
