Vote for Humane Kind: #5 Zoe's Animal Rescue Society
Get to know Zoe's Animal Rescue Society from Edmonton, AB, and how they're helping animal welfare ♥️
Vote for Humane Kind Update
In May 2020, Nutram recognized the increasing need for pet shelter funding during the global pandemic. Through our Vote for Humane Kind campaign, we invited you and your community to nominate charitable animal organizations. The top 10 organizations voted by communities across Canada each received $5,000 for everyday care necessities, including vaccinations, spaying or neutering, food and nutritional requirements, and more. Six months later, the recipients have shared with us how you were able to help them reach their goals to support animal welfare.
#5 Zoe's Animal Rescue Society
Zoes Animal Rescue Society is so much more than a rescue that takes in dogs and cats in need to find new homes.
We also help marginalized populations access vet care when needed which keeps families together. We provide education in the community on the importance of spaying and neutering as well as animal care. We help families access food, shelters etc. We take a proactive approach on rescue working to make changes that improve the lives of animals and communities.
With the funding we received we were able to bring in puppies and kittens who were out in the cold. We were able to provide houses and straw to dogs in our target community so they will be nice and warm, and able to take in dogs who needed a new start on life. Without our donators we couldn’t do this work, together we can make the world better. To continue supporting Zoes you can find many ways to donate on our website www.zoesanimalrescue.org
